About

My passion for native plants started with a position at a perennial nursery under the wing of Ellen Talmage over twenty years ago. Back then, native plants were considered roadside weeds. Spring forward to 2020...native plants are finally getting their time to shine! During the pandemic, people were basically forced to spend a lot of time at home and they began to venture into nature again. They soon noticed there were not many bees, birds and butterflies in their yards.

Opening the Native Plant Pickup Yard to the public in July 2020 and joining the Board of Directors at Rewild Long Island in 2021 has been a absolute joy and is just the beginning of my new journey. I look forward to sharing my passion for native plants and critters with as many people as possible and finding new ways to educate the public on the importance of native plants!

A portion of the swag sales will be donated to Rewild Long Island.
